Article by Gaston Maspero on the Siwa Oasis

Published in the "Journal de Debat politique et Litteraires" of 28 June 1905.

The article, dedicated by Maspero to the oasis, is extremely interested even if in part overtaken by the progress of research. I am not sure, but I think that the French Egyptologist has never visited the oasis and bases his research on the reports of the first travelers and especially on the excavations conducted by George Steindorff the previous year.
