OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE BLACK LIONS LIBRARY IN SIWA
One of the major goals of our association was achieved on November 6, 2020. It is the opening of the Black Lions Library, located in the historic center of the Siwa Oasis.
The inauguration took place within the framework of the official launch of the renovation of the Shali fortress, a project co-financed by the delegation in Egypt of the European Union, co-founded, designed and implemented by EQI SME (Environmental Quality International), under the overall supervision of the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.
We had the honor to meet the Minister Khaled Al-Anani in our library. Many ambassadors accompanied him, including Mr. François Cornet d'Elzius, Ambassador of Belgium and Mr. Masaki Noke, Ambassador of Japan. Everyone thanked us for this library, where many books on the history of Siwa have been gathered.
The minister’s visit ended with very good news, as he agreed to the creation of a museum, exhibiting the most significant objects found in Siwa and its surroundings. The association will be associated with this great project.
